Germaine Koh

Born in Malaysia, in 1967 Germaine Koh is a Toronto-based artist and independent curator. She has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions across Canada, the United States and Mexico from the early 1990s on, and she has received national attention through articles in the Globe and Mail, Parachute, Art/Text, and Canadian Art among others. From 1994 to 1998 she held the position of Curatorial Assistant and in 1998-1999 of Assistant Curator at the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa. c/o la Ciudad was first presented at Saw Gallery to coincide with the National Gallery of Canada's exhibition Mexican Modern Art 1900-1950 (2000). It is the first major presentation of contemporary art from Mexico City in Ontario.
