Carolynne Crawley, founder of Msit No’kmaq and co-founder of Turtle Protectors, is Mi'kmaw with Black and Irish ancestry. She is from Mi’kma’ki territory but Toronto has been her home since childhood. She is dedicated to social and environmental justice. Carolynne is also a Forest Therapy Guide, Kairos Blanket Exercise Facilitator, Holistic Nutritionist, Storyteller, co-producer of the documentary Reckoning with the Wendigo, and a member of the Indigenous Land Stewardship Circle.
