As The Let Down Reflex curators Amber Berson and Juliana Driever describe: “In their work, LoVid (Tali Hinkus and Kyle Lapidus) combs through their archives to assess the components of art spaces and institutions that welcomed them as artist-parents. Their video, Kids at a Noise Show (2016), includes interviews with artists, curators, and administrators they have worked with since the birth of their three children (Rama, Dlisah, and Lo’am), highlighting the ways in which they were able to integrate their family and their professional commitments.”
In a new collaboration LoVid and their children performed together during A Day of Affectionate Actions at the Blackwood Gallery. The children’s participation included dancing, drawing, and computer programming producing animations and visualizations to accompany music made by the LoVid parents with their handmade synthesizer.
