Faye Mullen

Often within a dissection of space, Faye Mullen employs the body to speculate theories concerning absence, loss and limitation. Her phenomenological investigations are articulated through video, performance, sculpture, and installation. Mullen grew up in the Niagara Region, Canada. She studied studio art with an emphasis on sculpture at l'école National Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the Ontario College of Art & Design, Toronto where she received her BFA. Currently, a SSHRC award supports her research in the MVS-Studio program at the University of Toronto. Mullen has exhibited internationally in solo and curated group exhibitions in Paris, Seoul, Portland, Linden, and Toronto and has participated in international artist residencies in Canada and South Korea. She is the founder of minnow & bass Gallery, a nomadic artist run space. Currently, she situates her practice in Toronto.
