Canada Pavilion Venice Biennale



Announcing the Official Website for the Canada Pavilion at the 53rd International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia

The Blackwood Gallery, University of Toronto Mississauga, is pleased to announce the official launch of a new website for the Canada Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia. The website offers access to the Canada Pavilion and its exhibition history for national and international audiences.

The 53rd International Art Exhibition will take place from June 7 to November 22, 2009. The 2009 Canada Pavilion presents Mark Lewis: Cold Morning, commissioned by Barbara Fischer, Director/Curator of the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, University of Toronto. The website incorporates text, images and videos documenting the progress of the exhibition from planning to execution.

Mark Lewis’s films Nathan Phillips Square, A Winter’s Night, Skating, TD Centre, 54th Floor, and Cold Morning were produced by the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery and co-produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
