Newmodulr

September 12 - October 20, 2002
Opening reception: September 18, 7- 9 pm

Brian Jungen

Damien Moppet (background) - An Te Liu (foreground)

This exhibition presented new works by artists from across Canada, including Brian Jungen and Damian Moppett (Vancouver); Nestor Kruger, James Carl, and An te Liu (Toronto). The exhibition examined the recent interest in modular structures as emblem of the generic object and/or of architecture. Based in Minimalism, the recent interests are inflected by disruptions, points of breakdown, or aberrant warpings. The poster was produced in collaboration with the Art Gallery of Calgary, where the exhibition was presented from February to April 2003.

The exhibition received financial assistance from the Canada Council of the Arts.
