Curated by Hans-Ulrich Obrist and organized and circulated by Independent Curators Incorporated (ICI), New York, the exhibition do it was presented jointly with The Gallery (UTSC). In this traveling exhibition, no artworks travel. Consisting of instructions by international artists such as Yoko Ono, Marina Abramovic, John Baldessari, Jimmy Durham, and many others, the works were produced in collaboration with students, volunteers, and staff in each venue.

A panel discussion with Luis Jacob, Germaine Koh, and Sandra Rechico, titled "Rules of the Game" was held at the Blackwood Gallery (UTM) in conjunction with the opening reception on November 7.
