Montreal-born artist David Hoffos presented a multi-media installation, titled "Catastrophe," as an expression of collective millennial anxieties around the transition to year 2000. A miniature model of a suburban city becomes the backdrop for a series of dreaded, projected disasters such as fires, airplane crashes, and hurricanes. "Catastrophe" has been shown in Calgary, Alberta, and in Barcelona, Spain. This was the first major exhibition of David Hoffos' work in Central Canada.
