The Blackwood Gallery cares for a collection of over 450 artworks by prominent Canadian artists with over 200 works installed on campus. These works include Fairley Barker's portrait Morley Callaghan and Charles Pachter's Egg Woman, both installed in the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre and Mary Pratt's 1969 Calendar, installed in the office of the Dean. The collection consists of objects from 1896 to 1979 in media ranging from collage, drawing, installation, murals, painting, photography, posters, prints, sculpture and textiles. Works in the collection are available for borrowing to staff and faculty of the University of Toronto Mississauga campus and for installation in public areas on campus such as the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre, the Student Centre, North and South Building.
